Since June 2022, LA Plaza Cocina has been able to showcase a diverse range of Culinary Programs for our community. Allowing this to be a space of culinary exploration and a center for enhancing one’s cooking skills has been a beautiful experience; it has gathered people together for the love of food and the desire to learn more about one’s culture.
Since the COVID-19 pandemic, LA Plaza has been utilizing the digital platform tp bring programs to your home in the safest and engaging manners possible. We strive to continue this legacy since its not only a way of keeping our community safe, but also to reach out to audiences that are far away from our Los Angeles site.
LA Plaza Cocina is excited to share that in addition to our in-person Culinary Programs, we will begin to host virtual cooking classes! Once a month, LA Cocina will be hosting virtual cooking classes via Zoom so that you can have the oppertunity to cook from the comfort of your own home.
Two days before our Virtual Cooking Classes, you’ll be provided the Zoom link, recipe, and ingredient list so that you can get ready with the tools you need to cook together with the Guest Chef.
This September, you’ll be cooking with Maite Gomez-Rejon, founder of ArtBites. She will be teaching you how to make two seafood dishes: Ceviche and Aguachile. Both dishes are bound to have you celebrating the end of the summer season. And to toast the summer for its sunny days, Maite will also guide you step-by-step on how to make mixed drinks: the Paloma.
